Top Tips for Your Photo shoot

We want your photo shoot to be as fun and smooth as possible, so here are some top tips to help you get ready!

1. Arrive Early

Make sure you arrive with enough time to get changed and settled in before your scheduled time slot. We’ll need you poolside, ready to go, so we can start snapping straight away!

2. Swimming Attire

Keep it simple and stylish—avoid costumes with big pictures or logos. Solid colours work best as they create a clean, timeless look. If you’re bringing siblings or joining in yourself, try to avoid clashing patterns. For little ones, don’t forget swim nappies!

3. Goggles – To Wear or Not to Wear?

Goggles are optional! If your child normally wears them, a bit of practice before the shoot is a good idea. While goggles can be fun, we think the photos look best without them as they can fog up and hide your little one’s face.

4. Hair Tips

Underwater magic doesn’t keep your hair in place—so no need for heavy gels or sprays! Tied back, loose, or natural—whatever style you go for, it’ll look great once you’re in the water. Just keep it simple and let the water work its magic.

5. No Hair Dye or Spray Tan

Please avoid any hair dye or spray tan at least a week before your shoot. It’s all about making sure you look your best and feel comfortable during the session.

6. Take Breaks if Needed

Our baby handler will bring plenty of fun games, songs, and playtime to keep everyone entertained. If your little one needs a break, just let us know! We want them to feel happy and comfortable throughout the shoot.

7. Parking

All venues have parking available, but do allow a little extra time to park and get ready. We want you to be relaxed and on time!

Welcome to Immersed Underwater Photo shoots! Before booking your session, please take a moment to read through our terms and conditions to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Booking and Session Details

This booking is for one child only. Siblings must be booked additionally for their own session time. If you would like sibling shots please book at the same time and date.

Parental Involvement

Parents are more than welcome to be involved in the session. However, only one parent is allowed in the water with the child during the shoot. The additional parent may join or swap in for the final 5 minutes of the session.

Accompaniment for Children

All children under 8 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in the water.
Children under 1.5 meters in height must also be accompanied by a parent in the water at all times.

Experience Requirements

Children attending the session must have a minimum of 6 months of swimming experience and be competent in being submerged multiple times during the shoot.

Goggles

Goggles are optional for the session. If you wish for your child to have their photos taken without goggles, we recommend practicing this beforehand to ensure they are comfortable being submerged without them.

Swimming Attire

All children and adults must wear appropriate swimming attire throughout the entire session. We do not offer or allow nudity “nirvana-style” shots.

Submerging Assistance

Parents must be comfortable with our baby handler assisting in submerging children to capture the best shots. This is part of the process to ensure we get those magical underwater moments.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel due to illness, please notify us at least 48 hours before the session. In this case, 50% of the fee will be credited toward your next session, and the remaining balance will be due once the new date is confirmed.
No refunds will be given for non-attendance or if your child is unable to submerge for the shots.

Photo shoot Duration and Outcome:

The number of final photos provided will depend on your child’s ability during the session. We aim to deliver between 2-5 edited photos per child, though this is not guaranteed. The sessions are 30 mins.

10. Delivery of Photos:

Edited photos will be delivered within 6-8 weeks time frame after the shoot. Additional edits or requests may incur extra time.

Limitation of Liability:

The photographer will take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety and well-being of your child during the shoot. However, the photographer is not liable for any injuries or accidents that may occur during the session. Swim School or Venue rules will apply to all participants in and around the location.

By booking a session, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions. We look forward to creating beautiful underwater memories with you and your family!
